acovea compiles the code you give it many times with different compiler
options each time to fing the fastest combination
i got acovea and it is install the GUI
http://www.coyotegulch.com/products/acovea/acovea-gtk.html
i know that i have gtkmm-2.4, i even reinstalled it, but this is what i get
when running "./configure"
(there i a bunch of stuff above this output, but it all says "checking if
thisorthat... yes")
////
checking for pkg-config... /usr/bin/pkg-config
checking pkg-config is at least version 0.9.0... yes
checking for GTKMM... checking for GTKMM... configure: error: Package
requirements (gtkmm-2.0 >= 2.0.0) were not met.
Consider adjusting the PKG_CONFIG_PATH environment variable if you
installed software in a non-standard prefix.

Alternatively you may set the GTKMM_CFLAGS and GTKMM_LIBS environment
variables
to avoid the need to call pkg-config. See the pkg-config man page for
more details.
////

does anyone have any ideas about whats happening?
thanks
