I routinely mount stuff noexec, nosuid, nodev.
Be aware that there are a -lot- of programs (some kde stuff comes to
mind) that use /tmp and /var/tmp as storage for intermediate
executables, so /tmp noexec can really muck with your sanity when trying
to install those packages.
