Memory for an OLD laptop

I recently acquired a Compaq Presario 1685. Old puppy. AMD K6-2 380
processor. Not the fastest kid on the block, but it will make a great X
terminal for logging in to my home machine. Already have Xubuntu installed
and it's running great...even pretty snappy considering its age.

Anyway...would anyone out there happen to have a spare memory chip for this
thing? It requires a 144 pin SODIMM. See
http://www.crucial.com/store/listparts.asp?Mfr%2BProductline=Compaq%2BPresario+Notebooks&mfr=Compaq&tabid=AM&model=Presario+1685&submit=Go

Since I paid $20 for the laptop, I don't really want to pay $34 for the
memory. :) If you want to barter, I have 256MB and 512MB modules that came
out of a semi-recent IBM Thinkpad (sorry, don't know the pin count, but I can
check tonight). So, if anyone has a 64 or 128 MB memory module for this
laptop, please drop me a line!
