Hi Lee,

I am on GCI , another local provider. I tried to ssh to your sister's
machine, with no luck. I then scanned it (sorry about that), with the
following results:

Starting Nmap 4.03 ( http://www.insecure.org/nmap/ ) at 2006-07-04 08:47
AKDT
Interesting ports on 66-230-103-254-rb1.nwc.acsalaska.net (66.230.103.254):
(The 1660 ports scanned but not shown below are in state: closed)

22/tcp filtered ssh
23/tcp filtered telnet
111/tcp filtered rpcbind

Clearly SSH is open. I am not a SUSE person, so I do not know much about
the config. Is she able to ssh to the machine from a terminal window? I
suspect that ssh is mis configured. We have a Friday evening
meeting/gabfest. If she could bring the machine by, I am sure someone
can help her fix it.
