I thought this could be a fun thread.

I've had the most fun with FreeNX <http://freenx.berlios.de/>. I love
the ability to connect back to my Linux Desktop at home. I mentioned
this earlier in the year and several people asked me specific questions
concerning technical specs. Here is a link to a series on FreeNX
written by Kurt Pfeifle of the FreeNX team.

NoMachine (the original developers and commercial reseller) also has
great docs at http://nomachine.com/. You can also download the free NX
client (Windows or Linux) from NoMachine.
