Well, I'd ditch 9.0 but go to 9.3 or 10.0. Can't remember when 9.0 came
out, but SuSE updates security patches for two years and we're probably
approaching that so if you want to stay current it's not a bad idea to go
with the latest flavor. Never tried SimplyMEPIS - might be a good way to
go.

You can download it from OpenSuSE.org for free if you don't want to buy the
boxed set. They just released SUSE Linux 10.0 OSS RC1 if you wanted to go
bleeding edge. They were supposed to start shipping SuSE Pro 10.0 on 9/30,
but heard that the production shipments were backordered. Not sure when
they'll have that available for download in a supported version...
