I *think* you'll need a crossover cable if you're going right into your
computer with that. I looked at the Paradyne web site after Justin's note
and it seems that they can be set up as a transparent bridge, or as Justin
said, as a little router. Mine's in bridge mode, and I've never gone into
it. Didn't know I even could until today! <g>

You can tell a crossover cable easily - pins one and two will be the green
pair on one end and the orange pair on the other. You probably already knew
that.

Can't recall if they gave me a booklet on the Paradyne. It probably says if
so.

You were using SuSE, right? In chapter 22.4.5 of the Administrator's manual
it covers configuring PPPoE. If you don't have the boxed set the admin
manual is found in /usr/share/doc/manual/suselinux-adminguide_en. Or just
click on the lifering in the kicker and do a search on PPPoE. Pops right
up.
