While conducting an apt-get upgrade on a remote Debian server I lost my
connection. The upgrade is still running but I can't see the progress
and apt is locked. I'm not sure how to "safely" handle this.
I had a remote connection via freenx logged in as user tim and a shell
running the upgrade as root.
I'm thinking I can just wait it out and let the upgrade finish. But
what if one of the packages needs to prompt me for a config change?
Thoughts Debian friends?
Tim
