Here's what I've got so far

   1. UDMA 2 - doesn't do more then that
   2. Network speeds reach 12MB/sec. I downloaded a file over HTTP
   3. USB 2 and Firewire combo card is installed
   4. Transfering files with SSH is very slow. Uses all the CPU
   5. Rsync with out SSH runs around 4MB/sec

The package for the combo card says USB 2 but here's what I get with lspci

    00:00.0 Host bridge: Intel Corporation 440BX/ZX/DX - 82443BX/ZX/DX
    Host bridge (rev 02)

    AGP bridge (rev 02)

    00:07.3 Bridge: Intel Corporation 82371AB/EB/MB PIIX4 ACPI (rev 02)
00:0d.0 Ethernet controller: Linksys NC100 Network Everywhere Fast

00:0f.0 USB Controller: ALi Corporation USB 1.1 Controller (rev 03)
00:0f.1 USB Controller: ALi Corporation USB 1.1 Controller (rev 03)
00:0f.2 USB Controller: ALi Corporation USB 1.1 Controller (rev 03)
00:0f.3 USB Controller: ALi Corporation USB 2.0 Controller (rev 01)
    00:0f.4 FireWire (IEEE 1394): ALi Corporation M5253 P1394 OHCI 1.1

    [Cyclone] (rev 24)
01:00.0 VGA compatible controller: ATI Technologies Inc 3D Rage Pro
    AGP 1X/2X (rev 5c)

Only one of the ports shows up as USB 2. The rest are all USB 1.1. I
think I got riped off. My USB drive works but I can't tell if it's USB 2
or 1.1.
