Friday night aklug server

There were problems with the server last Friday.
1. DMA was not setup
2. Transferring data from/to the server was very slow

It was determined by others ( not me ) at the meeting that the DMA issue
was causing the slow connection. I think connection speeds were around 1
to 2 megabytes/second. The Ethernet card and both switches can do 100mB/s.

I'm compiling a new kernel with the DMA driver in the kernel. I've never
done anything with DMA. Any and all info or suggestions about setting up
DMA will be appreciated.
