PHP help

I'm getting some parse errors with this PHP script...

"Parse error: parse error, unexpected ';' in test.php on line 36",
with line 36 being "$format_array[$i][0] =3D
strtolower($result_array[$i]["cn"][0]);"

Any ideas? I'm thinking it's because I wasn't escaping the quotes
around cn, but that doesn't help either. I have an LDAP server I'm
just trying to build a simplistic web gateway to.
