virtual domains and sftp?

I'm dabbling again with setting up multiple domains on a single box
doing the virtual domainspace thing. Is it possible/reasonable to set
up sftp to use chroot'ed virtual domains, hopefully with an ldap
backend? If so, is it trivial and I'm just not seeing it? or are there
references and howtos somewhere?
