Re: ACS "tech support"

FWIW,

I'm on ACS and the only trouble I've seen one instance of (ugh!)
transparent POP filtering, so a client of mine couldn't download an
email message with an MS Word document attached.

The document contained no virus. The mail server was ACS', and the
filtration was BETWEEN us and ACS' mail server -- you could retrieve
the email from some other ISP, or ACS' webmail. Weird.

In general though, I'm happy with the level of filtering ACS does; I
myself block 137:139. And in my experience port 22 is not blocked;
perhaps something else was wrong, Damien? I use ssh (and vpns, mail
servers, web servers, streaming audio) on end-to-end ACS (DSL in
Fairbanks, direct IP in Delta) without any trouble.
