If again, try;

acx_pci modules. http://acx100.sourceforge.net/

Some used prism, some/most not. Just installed dwl650+ (pcmcia) and dwl520+ with 256 wep. Tough at first, but now it's
routine.

Mandrake notes;
Mandrake plays with their kernels to much, they remove this and add that (grsecurity...) Their acx_pci support is
a joke; remove it from the kernel.

Their pcmcia-cs install required a little tweaking...It works well now.
Kismet won't compile with mandrake's current 2.4 kernels, had to go public 2.4.26.
