Well, that's a nice howdy-doo! Here's mine, compiled myself on my wee little
(broken) custom distro:

  acorliss@bifrost:~/test$ bash --version
  GNU bash, version 2.05a.0(1)-release (i686-pc-linux-gnu)
  Copyright 2001 Free Software Foundation, Inc.
  You have new mail in /var/mail/acorliss
  acorliss@bifrost:~/test$

Looks like a bug introduced in your more recent rev of bash?

Sounds like a key binding with your terminal type. If, however, this is a
*new* key-binding for the same terminal type you've always used, then <yeesh>!
Somethings changed. Done any wholesale updates of libs, etc., lately?
