hi guys from washington. hope i can still be on the
list. for those who were wondering, we made it ok, but
i have to borrow internet access from the library here
for now. might have a job lined up too.

got a hypothetical question for you. been thinking bout
it on my way here. its an integration question. where
can i find info on setting up linux as a replication
partner for a windows box? for instance, supose you
have a shop that wants a webserver exposed to the
outside world, but dont want to use iis. you decide to
set up a dmz with linux/apache exposed to the internet,
but for various reasons the staff needs to do their
work on a windows box(maybe they need to use frontpage
and dont want to expose frontpage extensions to the
world, maybe they need a specific aplication that only
runs on windows?) so you set up a win2k box inside the
the protected zone. they want to make alterations to
the webpage on the win2k box and have it automaticaly
replicate to the linux box on the outside in the dmz
without them having to do it. or maybe you have
multiple dept in a busines that want to hide from the
rest of the company what they have and only expose
certain things. (hr not wanting to share executives
saleries with marketing, but wanting to post job
openings perhaps?) you set up the same thing where they
do their work on a windows box and only what they want
they put into a specific directory where it
automaticaly replicated to the main server past a
firewall.

unfortunatly i dont have a lot of computer time right
now to do long searches on this (im on a lib computer
:P )but its been bugging me lol. so i was hoping
somebody could help me cut some search time off by
giving me a point in the right direction as to where i
can find info.

thanks guys and ps, its 50f here :D, i heard its buried
in white stuff there

                      kurt
