Greets,
I bought a Samsung 173v LCD monitor at Sam's Club. I am using Redhat 8.0
....Gnome and KDE user interface...i686, 2.4.20-18.8. The display
configurations do not have the exact model match to set up this monitor.
I'm hesitant to try others since I don't know how to recover the old
settings if the new ones don't work. I booted Linux with the new monitor
plugged in and it didn't find it as new hardware.
I have one computer and two hdd's with W98 on one drive and Linux on the
other drive. I tried the new monitor with W98 and it works great.
As you can tell, I'm just a beginner at this Linux business so please
answer in the lowest common denominator possible.
