Abstract
First American Title of Alaska is in immediate need of a junior network administrator to assist in the general administration of 10 state-wide branches. The position is based at the Anchorage office though frequent travel is required. The position is full-time with benefits. Salary is DOE.
Desired Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
1.Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills
2.Ability to work pro-actively without supervision
3.Desire to learn new skills
4.Knowledge of Windows and Linux server software and Windows 9x and XP desktop software
5.Knowledge of basic TCP/IP networking principles
Essential Duties and Responsibilities to include support of the following:
1.Respond to user requests for assistance (may include OS, printer, or application issues)
2.Responsible for maintaining system software integrity and disaster backup and recovery procedures
3.Maintains system software and documentation.
4.Review, analyze, install, and maintain operating systems on Windows and Linux platforms.
5.Performs system performance appraisals and system tuning functions
6.Detect, diagnose, and resolve operating system and network problems.
7.Review, evaluate, and make recommendations on the selection and acquisition of software and hardware.
8.Performs other related duties as required.
Special Qualifications
1.Must be willing to fly to rural sites in Alaska for user support
