I will be getting dialup here shortly. To speed things up a bit I plan on having a system on my home network download things while I’m sleeping. I reinstalled Debian Woody and selected dialup system. Here’s what I got

1. wvdial – for dialing the modem
2. fetchmail – for getting mail
3. wwwofline – for offline browsing
4. diald – for on demand dialing ( this package seems to be broken )

I think there was something for reading news off a news server.

If any one has any tips, tricks, or things I should install let me know.
