Subject: nfs woes

I'm trying to share my mp3's over my network with NFS. I followed a
how-to I found online, and loaded the modules, started the daemons, set
up the /etc/exports file, and everything looks right according to the
how-to.
When I try to mount the folder on my laptop, I get this message in my
desktop /var/log/messages:
Feb 24 23:42:01 jane rpc.mountd: authenticated mount request from
192.168.1.64:983 for /home/enderak/mp3 (/home/enderak/mp3)
But on my laptop, it just sits there for a bit and then gives me an
"mount: RPC: Timed Out" error
I don't have any firewall between my laptop and my desktop.
Anyone have any ideas?
Thanks everyone!
Justin
