Greetings all;
I had a clever idea about a week ago. I didn't check with the list
first, I just went out to by WiFi. The clever idea was to get a
matched set (same brand, version, etc) of pcmcia and usb 802.11b
hardware. I ended up at CompUSA where I purchased one of each of
Linksys for $79.99 each.
Well, what I really need is a pcmcia and wap (Wireless Access
Point). Sooo... I will be returning the Linksys to CompUSA on
Wednesday unless someone makes me an offer. I will get stung with a
15% restocking fee, so let that be a guide for your offer.
I was at COSTCO on DeBarr earlier today. They had a combination
pcmcia and wap for $180.00 (less a penny). That will satisfy my
needs and makes the Linksys hardware redundant. WAP's generally run
about $150.00 or so.
Cheerio! fgd.
