Subject: [OT] Hotmail Using Windows For SMTP

This may not be new, but I just noticed it the other day. I was looking
in the maillog for something unrelated, and saw that well over half of my
server's attempted connections to hotmail.com mx hosts were refused.
Lots of "server dropped connection" messages as well. Out of curiousity I
telnetted to port 25 on one of them, and noticed that it seemed to be
running Windows.
Obviously, hotmail has been running Win2k web frontends for quite awhile,
but I thought they'd kept the mx hosts running FreeBSD. Obviously that's
not the case anymore, and it definitely shows. :-)
