Supposidly Godaddy will act as a go-between of you, the owner of the domain, and the whois db, thereby (in theory) "protecting your privacy and stoping spam".
Now how would this work when you're trying to get a hold of someone for a legit and/or legal purpose? (ie domain is holding some of your copyrighted content and you want to send them a cease-and-desist)????
talk about taking domain names to a whole new level.
