Subject: 2.2.21 kernel include file discrepancy

Not too long ago, I upgraded my kernel to 2.2.21. Last night,
when I tried to compile a package, I got a 'file not found' in
the kernel includes. The file /usr/src/linux/include/linux/config.h
contains this:
#ifndef _LINUX_CONFIG_H
#define _LINUX_CONFIG_H
#include <linux/autoconf.h>
#endif
but the file autoconf.h is nowhere on my system. Can someone tell
me why it's missing, and if there's a workaround?
Thanks.
