software question

Trying to install 'cwp8-linux.tar.gz' from linux-alaska.com.
Downloaded both the program and install instructions.
Followed the instructions carefully but
it will not install.
'Runme' says it cannot find 'install.**' and stops.
Are the instructions correct?

gunzip cwp8-linux.tar.gz ; tar -xvf cwp8-linux.tar
seems to work okay.

Any ideas appreciated.
