I recently bought the Tekram DC-315/U scsi controller card. This is
cheap windows hardware and this card does not (yet) have support in the
Linux kernel.($21 ACB),Good for running fast scsi devices, cdrom or a
scanner etc. The driver is being worked on by a Suse employee and there
are patches available for the 2.2.20 kernel & 2.4 series in Debian
unstable . In Debian the patch goes in smooth and we are up and running
