Subject: in need of a linux box

Good morning all,
I am in need of a linux box to do some serial port work for my master's
project. I am currently running a linux server with redhat 7.2, but I can't
get the serial port to work and afraid to mess with the system too much.
So, I need a box I can mess with that has a 16550A uart and is a standard amd
or intel pc that wouldn't be too much of a hassle to setup linux on.
Preferably 200MHz or higher. Can pay some money.
